Inspired by the timeless symbolism of birds, this collection explores freedom, change and resilience through ceramic sculpture. Each piece reflects an ongoing dialogue between form, material and the stories that birds have carried across cultures for centuries. Throughout history, birds have been seen as symbols of connection, movement and transformation, appearing in myths, beliefs and artistic traditions as messengers between the earthly and the unseen. This collection reinterprets these enduring symbols through a contemporary ceramic approach, focusing on the relationship between shape, surface and meaning.

Created using the Copper Matte Raku firing technique, every sculpture develops its own unique surface through the interaction of fire, smoke and chance. The unpredictable nature of this process allows subtle variations in texture, colour and character to emerge, making each piece a singular expression of its journey through heat and transformation. Follow the Evolution celebrates this continuous process of discovery, where no two sculptures are ever the same. Each work becomes a reflection of experimentation, patience and the evolving relationship between the artist, the material and the forces of nature.
